I think I'll put it here in case you're interested in it. More info bellow.
So, I was curious about video monetization practice lately. It's possible to make it work, except:
Pornhub: Your video will be only available on their site. If someone else or you post video on other sites - they just won't pay you. In other words, they require exclusive rights (same story as porngames's on PH had)
Xvideos: You'll need to have a site, exclusive rights to it and your content and on top of that you'll need YOUR PHOTO to be available for everyone. No exceptions. It works for porn actors, but for some random guy making H videos? And it doesn't mean they will give you monetization rights after all.
Keep in mind that most of the stuff I make currently is copyrighted so much I won't be able to upload them on those sites in the first place. So only a relatively small group of people will be able to see it.
And I can't think other sites can offer any good deal either.
People told me about making a patreon (or gofundme analog, whatever) before. But I don't really like this idea either for some reasons:
- I believe patreon is a good place if you're a developer of your game. (as well as animators like Twisted Grim)
- You make a content which is yours only: see JonTron, NakeyJakey's channels on youtube.
- I don't want to make viewers to pay monthly subscription fee in case I don't make videos for a long time.
The only thing I can think of is donations through paypal, I guess. Same thing like guys from re4hd.com did. So it's up to you to donate any amount of money if you want to support what I'm doing. I can use those funds to support creators like Zell (FOBS-Forest of Blue Skin), D-lis (Night of Revenge) and Succubus Affection development ci-en/enty pages. Or you can just donate to the developers directly. In the end, it's your choice :)
